Family Day 2015 - Lizzie & Erik H.

Family Day: a made up holiday created in lieu of the more nationalistic 'Flag Day' that gifts most of us a must needed day off in the middle of the glum month of February.  So time to take advantage of some free time with the kids, right?

To be perfectly honest, I didn't participate much here beyond the setup.  Between chores and a lack of inspiration regarding Lego of late, I left the kids to play by themselves, and they created a world of Harry Porter and fantasy horror, with some sci-fi bits thrown in for fun.

Lizzie is in the midst of reading the third Harry Porter novel (having devoured book 2 in short order), so she was all about Hogwarts.  The Disney princess sets worked out nicely in that regard allowing her to start playing with minimal building, though she also added her own touches.

Erik was just happy to use my Fantasy Era troll fort (whose build symmetry always bugs me about an otherwise awesome set and forces me improvise an unbalanced set-up on principle), populated with skeleton soldiers.  I am not sure if his fascination with the undead is because of all the Scoobie Doo he watches or if he is a budding necromancer.

I did receive a few packages over the weekend containing Bricklink orders.  I slowly grind closer to completing the BSB and 10210.
