I'm a little late in putting this up because work gave me another opportunity to spend few days in lovely Iqaluit this past week. Twice in 30 days is a new record for me.

| Hurrah for -40 celcius and 14:00 sundowns |
Regardless, Lizzie, Erik and I hosted Anika and Kevin for a Lego "play date" this past Sunday. Here are some of the photos I managed to grab.
Actually, Erik and I started the night before by having a little long range duel using the contents of two of the Chima Tribe sets. Each came with three minifgs, a "pizza" shooter brick and one of the handheld round 1x1 shooters.

| As you can see, this was an opponent giving me a lot of respect |
 |
And a lot of enthusiasm
 |
| Erik's Lion Tribe had a formidable defensive line centered on his pizza shooter |
|
 |
| I on the other hand had a wet nose on skis for the main armament of my Sabretooth Tiger Tribe |
Fun did eventually ensue though.
The two sets were quite the bargain for the fun they brought us ($12 a pop), and the served as the inspiration for the build the next day.
Anika and Kevin built a castle and adjoining mermaid pool. It was quite the undertaking, solely using bricks from Lizzie's stash.
Erik and I built a Lion Tribe fort (and I kept our harassment of the others to a minimum). Lizzie built herself an ice rink. She can be quite clever, as you can see below.
 |
| Lizzie's simple bike rack idea |
That bike rack made me quite proud of how ingenious she can be.
 |
| Le Chateau Splish Splash |
Ok, Kevin can be pretty ingenious too.

| Getcha motor running... |
But the eureka! prize of the day went to me, for figuring out a way to use those speedorz without the hassle of them constantly falling over. :)
