Tall Ships - Hard at Work at the Shipyard - Carl & Erik H.

Erik and I were "working" on the recently cleaned Caribbean Clipper, amongst other things.  A few things came to light in the process:

1) I knew going in there were missing pieces, but the guy who sold me ships also had no qualms about substituting megabloks (patooie!) willy-nilly;
Guess what is destined for exile to the local VV drop-off?

2) Even using an oxyclenser, getting sails clean is a pain;
Like I don't do enough laundry already
3) Erik and I have different definitions of work; and,
I can't build them faster than he destroys them unfortunately
In the end I did mange to re-assemble the CC and find out how many bits I was missing (over 20).  and they are a bit cleaner.
Best part was my wife was happy to let me do it, as long as I kept the boy interested/busy.  So it was a win-win-win Sunday morning project.

Next up is taking apart the BSB and finding out what is unfortunately missing from that ship.  Luckily Erik has given me a head start on the dis-assembly. :)
